WHO IS A PERSON/EXPERT ON YOUR FIELD THAT YOU ADMIRE?

 Emmanuelle Barozet is a sociologist that i like. She was born in France and studied sociology there, then she came to Chile and is currently a professor at universidad de Chile, she teaches the “modern society history” class. Bazoret also has a master degree in History and civilization. She has done many investigations in the social mobilizations field and also studies social class relations, inequity and more. Besides that, she is director of the study group of sociology and communication science of FONDECYT. She was also director of postgraduate studies in the social sciences faculty in Universidad de Chile in 2017-2018. I like her because her work and studies are super interesting and she’s a very good teacher, for example, she once did a study that consisted of a focus group with people from different backgrounds  and mixed them up together, showed them different pictures and got them to associate them with things that they were familiar with. She did this to see the different social representations that people from a variety of backgrounds have.

I admire her work very much and think it is an amazing input to sociology.
